The high school sports statistics and rankings site Maxpreps released their latest preseason rankings of Division 1 high school football programs throughout the state. Preseason rankings are based on internal polling, recent history, number of ranked recruits, and prior playoff performance.

The top 10 teams ranked are listed below:

10. Homestead HS (Mequon)

9. Arrowhead HS (Hartland)

8. Waunakee

7. Ellsworth

6. Kimberly

5. Appleton North

4. Mukwonago

3. Catholic Memorial (Waukesha)

2. Muskego

1. Franklin HS

The official high school football season will kick off on September 9th, the first Friday of the public school year.
