UW-Madison Invites Community in on Potential Revenue Making Opportunities

The University of Wisconsin – Madison announced that it would be hosting two information sessions this month for community members in regards to a project on the west side of campus. The project brings together the University, University Research Park and international design firm Perkins & Will to develop more revenue opportunities to fund academics, philanthropy, and research at the university. 

The sessions will be held at 

  • Sept. 14, 7–8 p.m.: Community Information Session (Health Sciences Learning Center, Room 1345)
  • Sept. 15, 3:30–4:30 p.m.: Campus Information Session (Health Sciences Learning Center, Room 1325)

Unions file lawsuit challenging Wisconsin Act 10

A group of unions representing public employees including teachers filed a lawsuit on Thursday challenging Wisconsin Act 10, which stripped collective bargaining rights from most public employees in the state.
