For high school football teams across Wisconsin, it is now the home stretch of the regular season. With playoff jockeying, there’s still much to be won and lost. In Southwest Wisconsin, four teams are ranked in the MaxPreps Wisconsin top 25, and all were in action this past weekend. 6th ranked Waunakee, 8th ranked Verona, 15th ranked Lodi, and 19th ranked Middleton all picked up easy wins and lit up the scoreboard in the process. With the final game of the regular season this Friday, these teams will all be looking ahead to the playoffs.

Wisconsin’s dangerous abortion restrictions threatened my life and will continue to harm women

Nearly a year and a half after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and Wisconsin’s 1849 abortion ban went back into effect, it may be easy for some to forget the harm that the ban has been inflicting. But as anti-abortion lawmakers in our state continue to pass legislation to obstruct and stigmatize abortion, I can’t forget what these restrictions do to women like me.
