A week after keeping it close against top ranked Ohio State, the Wisconsin Badgers were unable to contain or keep up with the Indiana Hoosiers. They left Bloomington with a 20-14 loss, moving their record to 5-4. After initially looking like they would compete for a Big 10 West title with a 4-1 start, the Badgers have had a series of setbacks and lost three of their last four.
The lone bright spot of the day on both sides of the ball was freshman quarterback Braedyn Locke, who continues to improve with each successive week. Against Indiana, he threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns. But ultimately, the team trailed from start to finish following an early first quarter touchdown from the Hoosiers.
Wisconsin will need to win one of their next three games to ensure bowl eligibility. They have home games against 4-5 Northwestern and 5-4 Nebraska, before closing out their regular season against 5-4 Minnesota.
