Wisconsin’s unemployment falls in January

According to the latest jobs report released by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, the Badger State added  5,100 nonfarm jobs and 4,700 private jobs in January 2024. The state’s unemployment rate has remained below four percent since July 2021, dipping to 3.2% in January 2024.. 

Construction jobs drove much of this growth, adding 1,900 jobs since December 2023. Despite what forecasters claim, the U.S. economy continues to show signs of strength in 2024.
